More than two decades have passed since the fall of Apartheid- and we are witnessing a vicious kind of anti-semitism in the new "non racist", post-apartheid South Africa.
Not only is it shocking that a white attorney based in Port Elizabeth, Maureen Jansen has recently called for the killing of all Jews, but other BDS supporters such as Mohammed Cassim Jesat call for the "necklacing" of Jews,
(For those who don't know -this entails. Placing a tire around the victims neck-dousing it with petrol and setting it on fire !!!
This antisemitism is supported from the top down- being openly expressed within the ruling party and the ANCYL (Youth league)-by leaders such as Mohamed Desai also national coordinator of BDS South Africa--who fairly recently organised for notorious airplane Hi-Jacker Leila Khaled to visit the country to promote the anti-Israeli BDS movement.
The ANC/ ANCYL clearly have a short memory and forget the huge contribution that Jews have made in the struggle against apartheid
I think is it is of the utmost importance that they are reminded of this, and that the general public also acknowledge that the Jewish community of this country have been an unwavering torchbearer in the struggle for social justice and human rights, and bringing about an end to apartheid.
Anyone with open eyes and an unprejudiced heart can plainly read to see that fearless Jewish individuals that we honour such as Helen Suzman, Albie Sachs,, Joe Slovo, Ronald Segal, Solly Sachs, Arthur Goldreich, Rusty Bernstein, Dennis Goldberg, Bob Hepple, Dr Hilliard Festenstein, Sydney Kentridge Ina Perlman,Isie Maisel, Ruth First,Tony Bloom, Mendel Kaplan and so many others, have been a priceless blessing and a light to this nation in its struggle against racial oppression and inequality.
Maurice Ostroff in his article "The Facts about SA Jews in the Apartheid era." Says: "Considering that Jews comprised only 3.1% of the white population and 0.6% of the total population, South African Jews should take tremendous pride in the very high proportion that opposed apartheid".
He reminds us that It was the Jews of this country who propelled the anti-apartheid Progressive party led by Helen Suzman into parliament.
Ostroff furthermore in his article quotes the secretary general of the African National Congress, Kgalema Motlanthe, in his address to the 42nd Biennial Conference of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies

“That people of Jewish descent should be so prominent in the liberation movement says something fundamental about the compassion of Judaism. Many Jewish immigrants who arrived at our shores in abject poverty, laying claim to little but their rich commitment to humanitarian and egalitarian ideals. These commitments were sometimes rooted in traditional Jewish teaching. They sometimes emerged from traditions of socialism. Whatever the case, Jewish compassion is the fruit of empathy,
rather than sympathy. It is the fruit of struggle over many millennia, against racism and persecution”.
That being said-one has to wonder how the present Government suffers such amnesia--in forgetting us, and whose efforts are now returned with a cruel, hate filled punch in the face, as the ANC keep idly silent while Genocidal hate speech such as that from ANCYL regional chairperson Mohamed Desai, also a member of the BDS) continues unchecked.
-Desai openly calls for the killing of ALL JEWS promoting the singing of such songs as 'Dibul' ijuda (Kill the Jew).
This reminds us of his ANCYL predecessor, Julius-aka- "Juju" "Motormouth" Malema who several years ago promoted his genocidal song "Kill the Boer".
Mohamed Desai, ironically enough is known to sing the praises of the late Joe Slovo- who he seems to forget was Jewish-but I would imagine that being an ANCYL leader Desai makes an exception-and likes Jews only if they are his fellow communists, but calls to end the lives of the same Jewish community who wholeheartedly adored and supported Nelson Mandela and struggled to end apartheid.
Tata Madiba made certain unconditional promises to all the people of South Africa-that Jacob Zuma and his corrupted party are now breaking.

Surely this colossus of a man, Mandela whose shoelaces Zuma is not worthy to tie-- will be rolling in his grave or rather perhaps be crying tears in heaven.
Nelson Mandela at his Inauguration as President said: "Never, never and never again, shall it be that this beautiful land will again experience the oppression of one by another. "
Do note how he repeated the word "never" three times in order to emphatically state it -as if to absolutely insist on this as his sworn legacy and promise.
Some of us can see exactly why this kind of racist rant has become acceptable to the ANC and how it can serve their nefarious purposes .In spite of President Zumas claim that he is going to criminilize racist remarks and hate speech, which is remarkably ironic considering the reality of what he is allowing within his party....
Knowing the ANC's good old tendency of pulling the race card whenever it is criticised- it seems likely enough that this is simply a ploy to silence his enemies by imprisoning them for "race hate speech"in the form of any criticism directed at himself and his party.
Why exactly is this kind of genocidal hate speech being tolerated?
The ANC is losing a grip, whites are calling "Zuma must fall"--its policies are causing it to lose voter confidence- about two decades have passed and virtually none of the inequalities of apartheid have been addresed and the ANC continue to blame Apartheid and whites for the nation's woes.
We must remember that the ANC is ultimately a communist organisation-and its power has been consolidated by the Triumvirate of the Tripartite Alliance-the Communist party of South Africa COSA- together with COSATU the Trade Union movement--for these three--the Revolution is nowhere near over--Apartheid may be - but the resources of the land and private ownership of land are still concentrated in the hands of the minority -the whites. So the ANC , COSA+ COSATU will not rest until the final stage of their revolution is complete...Hence provoking conflict and racism is well within their interests-toward instilling fear- facilitating emigration and provoking civil war.
Over the past few years we have heard ANCYLS ex chairperson unashamedly sing "kill the boer" in a Xhosa song which actually literally translates into kill the white--and now we are hearing ANCYL's present regional chairperson Mohamed Desai sing "Kill the Jew".

It is perhaps no coincidence that both of these genocidal hate speech rants have been directed at two subgroups of the Caucasian race who own much of the land and wealth in this country namely the Afrikaaner whites and the Jews. A few years back Jacob Zuma, Julius Malema and eleven members of the ANC had charges of hate speech and incitement of Genocide brought against them at the International court of Justice in the Hague, Netherlands.
All the while a silent genocide of white farmers continued unabated, totally hushed up in the media and completely politically incorrect for public discussion.When referred to in the media it would always be written off as "ordinary" violent crime by armed robbery, not at all politically motivated- despite the fact that in the majority of these assaults very seldom was anything actually stolen. According to some statistics I have read as many as 30 000 white farmers have been murdered as a result of this silent Genocide instigated by the ANC in the past seven years.
It is pertinent to note that at the time when Malema was ANCYL leader- and Bishop Desmond Tutu- a member of an international advisory committee on genocide prevention- although he was most outspoken about Israeli 'Apartheid'-this" Christian" leader remained completely silent about the genocide of white farmers in his own country.
The ANC is quickly losing all credibility and is desperate. They have failed to win the western Cape-and they are steadily losing Black voters to the DA they realise that by appointing Muslim leaders to prominent political positions and by taking an antii Israeli stance that they will attract more Muslim voters- so suddenly we have seen the ANC appointing Muslims to prominent positions such as ANCYL's regional chairperson Mohamed Desai...who is regional Chairperson of the ANC and chief Honcho and national coordinator of the BDS which attempts to Boycott all Israeli produce entering the country..

The ANC knows that by keeping their anti-Israeli stance-and continuing to call it "Apartheid"that they can attract Muslim voters most of whom are all anti-Israel.
At the same time we should note the appointment of an almost entirely Muslim editorial staff at Independent Newspapers- with both The Argus and Cape Times both Muslim editors and sub-editors. In this way they can co-operate nicely with ANC party interests in ensuring that any viewpoints which are pro-Afrikaaner rights or pro-Israeli and in any way critical of Islam are not published.
Social and political commentator Moeletsi Mbeki, sibling and frequent critic of Jacob Zuma's pre-decessor- SA President Thabo Mbeki, said not long ago that the ongoing conflict within the ANC and the South African government could likely boil over and lead the country into an all-out civil war.
I quote:
“The ANC is destabilizing the country, it’s destabilizing its own country,” Moeletsi Mbeki said. “This is a warning to the ANC national executive committee that if they continue on the path of not following the constitution, then they are going to lead this country to civil war.”
